Quality Assurance Architect
Sygate Technologies, Inc.™, founded in 1995, is the leading provider of
enterprise-class software solutions that extend and enforce security policy to
protect Internet devices, mobile computers and corporate desktops from
intrusion and misuse.
The Quality Assurance Architect will play an integral role in the Quality
Assurance lifecycle, responsible for ensuring the reliability and quality of
Sygate Secure Enterprise. The particular challenge of this role is the ability
to develop testing strategies and tools to test the complexities of Sygate
Secure Enterprise.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Improve product release quality to exceed industry standard
• Define and architect time to release and increase use case test
coverage for Sygate Management Server, Sygate Security Agent, Sygate Enforcer
• Utilize and facilitate testing model and repeatable, tool-based process
for Sygate Secure Enterprise.
• Define, implement and architect black box and white box test
environment based on functional design specifications.
• Design and architect test scripts for both functional and stress tests.
• Develop stress-test plans to validate performance requirements of
Sygate Management Server, Sygate Security Agent and Sygate Enforcer
• Perform system testing on entire system.
• Develop QA test plans based on Business Requirement and development
documents.
• Design and where necessary develop test harnesses necessary to execute
complex test plans.
• Work with the other QA teams to set up automated test scripts to ensure
thorough testing.
• Work with Software architect to develop test strategy
• Works closely with Product Marketing to design tests that will ensure
goals are met prior to product release.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
• 4+ years experience in network security field and testing in Client
Server environment
• 4+ years experience in software development
• 2+ years software Black/ White box testing experience
• Must have demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans
under time pressures
• Must have demonstrated success in a collaborative cross-functional role
in a software environment
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of regression, integration and system level test execution
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP network configuration, and VPN
• Experience in network administration
• Experience writing test plans and test procedures
• Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
• Experience with Test Automation Tools is a plus
• BS/MS degree in computer science.
