Position: Security Architect
Location: McLean, Virginia, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 03/14/2005
Help secure well-known businesses that are household names.
The most successful Architects will be able to greatly extend their clients'
existing security architectures and develop roadmaps for moving applications
into compliance with them.
Your role will also include oversight of application development,
infrastructure, and operations as you'll serve as an expert resource to help
solve problems as they arise. In short, you have to love being in dynamic
environments and being sought out for advice on a variety of issues.
You'll help integrate network-based cryptographic services from Entrust. You'll
help oversee the rollout of PKI in heterogeneous production environments.
You'll be a prized resource to your clients, and a valued member of a great

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Enterprise Architects will have:
· Worked with and comfortable with large companies
o Moved cross organizational initiatives forward
o (bonus) Expertise to obtain buy-in through providing and demonstrating value
to VP level and above
o (bonus) Ability to act as an advocate for an initiative in a political and
defensive environment
· Hands-on Architecture and Design Experience with Heterogeneous J2EE
systems
o Entrust Crypto software/hardware
o Distributed network topology, load balancers, SSL accelerated, etc.
o (bonus) Familiar with Zachman, Popkin, or similar architecture frameworks
o (bonus) Working implementation-level knowledge of J2EE APIs: JAAS, JCA, JCE,
and so on.
· Consensus Building capability
o Able to get buy-in on consequences of initiative decisions as they affect
project teams
o Able to leverage personal communications, meetings, and similar venues to
drive piece-meal initiative adoption.
· Working knowledge of Applied Crypto and related issues
o Experience with key management
o Experience with PKI roll-out
o (bonus) Experience with Java’s JCE/JCA
· In-depth understanding of Software Security
· Willingness to travel (some local some national)
· Transportation to local client sites
· High energy and drive to be a part of a small, dynamic, and growing
company
