Position: VP / Dir / Mgr engineering
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, US
Type: Permanent F/T

We have an immediate need at Citrix Systems in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for a
Software Development Manager.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the direction of the software systems development function,
including the design, development, troubleshooting and debugging of software
programs. Manages individual contributors and assumes responsibility for
individual projects. Operates with an awareness of corporate direction.
Provides performance reviews, salary actions and hiring decisions.
Responsibilities include:
• Enforce existing or creating new processes and procedures necessary to
develop, test, and build world-class software products.
• Set clear and achievable goals for managers and direct reports and put
the necessary metrics and milestones in place to monitor and ensure progress.
• Understand and communicate the software development process from a
development and test perspective.
• Set the necessary mechanisms in place to evaluate developer talent,
identify and reward key contributors, and to identify and deal with
under-performers.
• Coach staff with a hands-on approach. Must monitor and maintain a high
morale of the engineering group.
• Ability to communicate company policies and procedures and be able to
explain them in detail.
• Communicate project status up and down the organization. Must provide
status at monthly ops review.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in CS or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience.
• A proven record of delivering localizable shrink-wrapped products
worldwide.
• Knowledgeable of the following MS Windows technologies: Win32, GDI,
device drivers, services, and kernel.
