Position: Quality Assurance
Location: Columbia, Maryland, US

Sourcefire, Inc. is looking for a QA Engineer to join our highly talented
Quality Assurance team in Columbia, Maryland. We are looking for individuals
with extensive experience in testing software products in a fast paced,
commercial product development environment.
QA Engineers will be expected to:
•Write and execute detailed test plans for Sourcefire's network security
solutions.
•Interact with Sourcefire development and Operations.
•Provide top-tier customer support on product related issues.
•Interact with vendors and partners on test-related issues.
•Track defects from discovery through resolution.
The compensation for this position includes a generous base salary as well as
quarterly bonus based on achieving individual, team and company goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Individuals must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and
willing to learn new skills. Experience in a fast paced startup environment is
highly desired.
Qualifications:
Must Have
•Practical experience and clear understanding of Internet protocols and
their potential security implications.
•Practical experience with Intrusion Detection Systems.
•Experience using various types of network tools, such as Nmap, hping,
Fragroute, etc.
•Excellent analytical and technical skills
•Previous/current experience testing in a Linux, Solaris and other UNIX
environments as well as how to administer those environments.
Preferred
•Experience in defining test requirements, test methodologies and setting
up the required test lab and equipment
•Proficient in C, Perl, and Shell scripting languages
•Experience writing detailed test design specification for networking
equipment
•Experience stress testing network equipment
Educational
•Bachelor degree in EE/CS or related field or equivalent experience
