Vice President of Information Technology
Reporting to: EVP, Chief Financial Officer
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $150 - $175k, full benefits, options, bonus
No relocation assistance at this time.
The Vice President of Information Technology is accountable for providing
strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of
the information systems. Specific responsibilities include establishing the
overall vision, strategic direction, technical and security standards,
implementation planning, procurement strategy and on-going enterprise wide
coordination for information technology. The Vice President of Information
Technology will develop long-range hardware and software technology plans for
the organization’s local area and wide area networks and intranet.
Additionally, the Vice President of Information technology will lead the
development of new information technology systems and solutions to support the
changing information needs of the organization and will work with top
management to determine current and future information technology requirements
for each department. The Vice President of Information Technology is also
responsible for
line management of corporate information and communication systems including
voice, data and imaging and ensuring proper safeguards and compliance with
regulatory standards are established and maintained.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Masters
Degree in information technology or other management related discipline
preferred. Top tier school a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience with broad based
technology responsibility and experience.
Minimum 5 years experience in a corporate environment and/or consulting
organization. Relevant work experience with a company in the business of
software development a significant plus.
Experience in a technology driven organization a minimum expectation.
Experience in developing and executing technology strategy, analysis and
planning in a global environment in support of the needs of corporate wide
functional groups.
Experience in diagnosing, analyzing, designing, implementing, and evaluating
large scale technological solutions with measurable results.
Excellent communicator on all levels with specific ability to communicate
technical issues to peers and users in a manner that encourages understanding.
Experienced facilitator, diplomat, and group negotiator/mediator.
Looking for a professional, roll-up your sleeves personality who likes to have
fun.
