Title: Security & Technology Solutions Senior Manager

The Security and Technology Solutions (STS) practice evolved as a key component
of our Technology, Security and Risk Services (TSRS). Our security services
provide the building blocks for a secured and protected business environment.
Employing state-of-the-art technology, experienced teams of Ernst & Young
security professionals deliver enterprise security solutions enabling our
clients to take advantage of the emerging electronic economy in a secure
manner. STS professionals at Ernst & Young have extensive experience with
information security protection, system security planning, information security
assessments and implementation, security program development and strategic
technology implementation. These services help companies validate their
infrastructures, design and implement business processes and technology
solutions, address regulations and educate and train management and employees.
The Senior Manager will work in an account-centric environment leveraging
multiple E&Y services for the benefit of our clients while leading multiple
engagement teams at an executive level within the practice and the firm. The
Senior Manager will run engagement teams and provide technical leadership in
the design and implementation of complete IT risk reduction approach addressing
such areas as Intrusion and Virus Detection, Incident Response, Privacy, Asset
Management, Physical Security, Policies, Standards and Guidelines. The
successful candidate will sell and manage sizeable advisory projects for large
clients where E&Y will work with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and
enhance information systems to develop and improve security at both a
procedural and technology level.
Responsibilities:
Work with the team and the client to create plans for accomplishing engagement
objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and
addresses the risks inherent in the engagement. Brief the team on the client's
IT environment and industry IT trends. Maintain relationships with client
management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing,
and the value to be delivered.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems and apply
it to client situations. Use extensive knowledge of the client's
business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts
on the client's business.
Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and
responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology/tools
to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
Understand E&Y and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can
deliver to bring value to clients. Generate new business opportunities by
establishing executive relationships, developing ideas and solutions for client
presentation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this highly visible position with excellent career advancement
potential for the right professional, the successful candidates should have:
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, Engineering and/or other related major
• Proven track record in business development by leading sales pursuits
of $2 million per year or more
• Proven experience as a technology leader with implementation skills in
such topics as: process definition, database design, networking (TCPIP, OSI
Model), operating system fundamentals (Windows NT, XP, Unix), security
technologies, and Web systems design and programming (C or Java).
• Experience in the field of information systems security, including such
areas as identity and access management, security program policies, processes
and procedures and various supporting security technologies
• Experience in information technology strategy, planning,
implementation, information security program development and administration
including technical architecture design and technology assessment
• Industry experience particularly in the automotive, manufacturing and
utility industries
• Demonstrated ability to perform consulting assignments and proven
experience leading complex technology projects
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent leadership and teaming skills
• Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment
• Ability to travel extensively as needed
