Are you passionate about security? Do you enjoy coding? Do you have cool ideas 
that can help make our software more secure, but don’t have time to 
implement it? Do you like writing tools and seeing other people use them? If 
you answer yes to these questions you may be a good candidate for a developer 
role on the SWI (Secure Windows Initiative) Tools team. The team is in charge 
of developing tools that make it easier for the people across the company to 
develop more secure code, find and fix security issues. You will be working 
with a wide variety of technologies and products, managed and native code  you 
will get invaluable experience and an opportunity to impact the way Microsoft 
creates software. You will be collaborating with various product teams, 
MSR/PPRC, FxCop, compilers, Microsoft Security Response Center, SDL and other 
teams to make a new generation of tools better at finding and preventing 
security holes  you will be working with the SWI security engineers (AKA
  ethical hackers) on analyzing vulnerability trends and coming up with new 
tool ideas, and with many other teams. A BS or higher degree in CS or related 
field is required, along with rock-solid C/C++ coding and problem solving 
skills. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have good knowledge of Windows architecture and understand 
principles of its security model. Prior experience in a security-related field 
is desirable. Knowledge of x86 assembler, cryptography, network protocols, 
common security-related tools and .NET is a plus. Come work for a team where
