Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Redmond, Washington, US
Type: Permanent F/T

programs, including worms and viruses are a threat to our customers' systems.
The Microsoft Antivirus product team is focused on a vision where customers are
protected from these malicious code threats. One aspect of addressing these
threats is cleaner tools. If you are a motivated self-starter with strong
organizational and communication skills and a real desire to be a core part of
shipping a successful product then this is the position as a program manager
for cleaner tools is for you. Responsibilities include establishing and
managing the product development plans and release schedules for malicious code
cleaner tools. This includes working with customers, tracking team progress
solving problems and interfacing with internal and external teams, spanning
different functions and levels relationship with marketing team to communicate
our plans and status both within and external to the team driving pl
ans around localization, documentation, as well as security and legal reviews.
This position will also define and manage beta and deployment programs for
these cleaner tools. This position is a great opportunity to gain breadth of
knowledge and build strong networks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications include excellent communication and organization skills, strong
negotiation and problem solving skills, technical aptitude and ability to
coordinate complex projects with simultaneous deliverables and synthesize crisp
plans in challenging situations. Active involvement in managing a full release
cycle is highly desirable. Deep Knowledge of Windows, security related
products, or antivirus is a major plus. Successful candidates will demonstrate
a very strong drive for results, a passion for customers and will have a proven
track record of working well with development, test, support and marketing
teams. 3+ years of experience working on commercial software development
projects is required. A BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
is preferred.
