Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick, CA
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 02/24/2005
Customer Support Analyst/Engineer
Act as a key resource in providing technical support to the clients of a
fast-growing software company recognized as a leading security software
company with sales internationally and a strong and seasoned management team.
They have also been recognized with several prestigious network security
awards.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Customer Services, you will deliver
superior hardware and software solutions, training and support.
THE ROLE
• Investigate and analyze the hardware and software network requirements
(for large enterprise networks - UNIX, Windows and Linux) in preparation for
the implementation and integration of the product at the client site.
• Define implementation requirements at both the functional and technical
level, making appropriate hardware and software recommendations and
facilitating the agreement of network requirements with the client.
• Configure the hardware and install the product at client sites,
resolving any system problems and configuration issues that may occur.
• Deliver client presentations demonstrating product capabilities on a
regular, ongoing basis.
• Deliver training remotely or at client sites.
• Act as a prime resource in providing high-level diagnostic customer
support.
• Provide advice to clients on how best to develop, implement and manage
their network security policies and procedures to ensure they are getting the
most of their network.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
•A university degree in electrical engineering or computer science with
several years of experience implementing, configuring and integrating software
products in large enterprise environments.
•A successful track record in managing client relationships.
A strong working knowledge of network infrastructures (LANS, WANS) in Unix,
Windows and Linux environments and network security.
•Experience with a broad range of networks - high speed, low speed and
varying sizes.•Excellent presentation skills
•Excellent organizational skills
•Strong project management skills
•You will be required to travel extensively throughout North America to
client sites (up to 50% of your time).
