Position: Quality Assurance
Location: Redwood City, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T

QA Lead/Test Engineer Redwood Shores, CA
Responsibilities
Test leading-edge network security software and supporting services. Tests will
address functions, load/stress, performance, and regression of the scanner
engine.
Develop and run test procedures and automation scripts.
Lead, manage and mentor a small team of test engineers.
Bug analysis requires ability to reproduce and isolate faults, and perform root
cause investigation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

At least 10-12 years experience with the software development life cycle in a
development or QA role.
Must understand the QA process.
System administration skills for Windows, Unix and experience with building and
installing software packages.
Hands-on programming skills in C/C++, Perl and/or Unix shell scripts required.
Proven test automation experience required.
Strong network troubleshooting skills with basic IP protocols. Should have a
solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, server/client configuration, TCP/IP
networking hardware, protocols, LAN and WAN technologies, and web security
architectures. Knowledge of Windows networking and security, NetBIOS, DEC/RPC,
COM/DCOM desirable.
Must be a critical thinker with excellent verbal and written skills.
Vulnerability scanning experience. (e.g. Nmap, nessus, ISS, CyberCop)
Patch Management experience on Unix and Windows systems.
Security experience with IDS, firewalls, virus scanners, or security protocols
(e.g. ssl and ssh). Knowledge of PKI, Digital Certificates, SSL, VPN, IPSec, or
development of DMZ's
