Position: Security Consultant
Location: Roseville (5 mins from downtown Minneapolis), Minnesota, US
Type: Permanent F/T

General Description:
The security consultant will create, design, and manage the implementation of
technical and non-technical security solutions for Shavlik’s customers.
The individual is responsible for following procedures necessary to ensure
security of the enterprise system. They will convert data from project
specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify
project results. The consultant will participate in solution design and goal
setting on a project, and will follow the project specification and steps
necessary for creating a deliverable solution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:
- MUST have prior consulting experience
- Networking experience
- Project management skills
- Experience using security-related tools and technologies, such as:
o Vulnerability assessments
o Security Auditing
o System Hardening
o Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Great communication skills
- Great technical writing skills
Preferred Skills / Certifications:
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification
- Any GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification)
- Programming experience (C, Perl, Shell Scripting, Shell Code, etc.)
- Experience with UNIX-based operating systems, concentrating on security
administration
o Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX are preferred
- Experience in the health care and financial industries
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
experience
