Position: Information Assurance Engineer
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana, US
Type: Permanent F/T

Tremendous opportunity to be part of a multidiscipline security practice in a
growing organization. Our business focus in Information Assurance ranges from
Defensive Information Operations, Antiterrorism, Enterprise Security, and more.
This position is perfect for a qualified Information Assurance professional
looking to contribute to the largest deployment of PeopleSoft ERP ever
attempted. This is a great growth position as previous staff members have
moved up into senior technical positions or program managers in many sector
organizations. You will be part of a team environment providing full security
life-cycle services such as identifying assets, performing risk and
vulnerability assessments, developing security architectures and solutions
using sound security systems engineering practices, perform security test and
evaluations, and assist the Department of Defense meet its protection goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have general security knowledge in host system security as
it pertains to UNIX systems. Positon will require specific knowledge in IBM
AIX security at the operating system level and how it relates to overall
security (antivirus, host based firewall and intrustion detection, auditing,
vulnerability identification and remediation). Postion also requires some
degree of knowledge on how to security those services hosted by the OS: web
servers, applications servers and back-end databases. This position requires a
minimum of 5 years experience in administration or management in a mixed
Microsoft 2000 / IBM UNIX environment. Experience in adminstration of UNIX
systems within the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and/or a DISA computing
facility is very desireable. Knowledge of UNIX Security Technical
Implementation Guides, Security Readiness Reviews, and certification and
accreditation of UNIX systems under DITSCAP is also highly desirable. A
Bachelors Degre
e in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering,
or related field is required. The ideal candidate would also have attained
CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional), CCSP (Certified
Cisco Security Professional), GIAC (SANS - Global Information Assurance
Certifications), or equivalent / relative security certification.
