Senior IT Audit Manager

This leading Consultancy require an ambitious and talented Senior Audit Manager 
to focus on assignment delivery, team leadership and business development, 
within a range of industry sectors.  

With client issues in information systems assurance ranging from information 
systems governance to regulatory compliance, the accountabilities of the role 
provide real challenge and excellent opportunities for career development and 
growth.

Accountabilities:

Operational

        •  Resources and manages effective delivery of assignments

        •  Manages development and delivery of technical proposals, 
producing a high quality written product

Client

        •  Manages a portfolio of clients and assignments.

        •  Addresses very complex technical points with a broad range of 
senior client relationships

        •  Manages key client relationships and expectations (SLA)

        •  Provides quality assurance and monitor risks

        •  Manages risk commercially


People

        •  Demonstrates the ability to manage teams including deep 
technical resources 

        •  Monitors and develops junior staff – provides a positive 
role model

        •  Proactively liaises with peers in other departments, building 
strong internal relationships


Business Development

        •  Participates in and manages sales and business development 
activities

        •  Wins work by proactively managing existing clients

        •  Identifies, develops and pursues client and market opportunities






JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Experience/Qualifications:

        •  At least five year’s experience in IT review and advisory 
work of which at least one year as a Manager covering IT Auditing and Internal 
Audits,

        •  Strong client management skills: with the ability to build and 
develop networks and relationships with internal and external contacts


        •  Deep technical skills in aspects of risk and control in the 
financial sector

        •  CISA, CISM and CPA/ACA are desirable but not essential


Key technical skills that the candidate would demonstrate are:

        •  Good understanding of information security management and 
information systems governance

        •  Experience of structured methodologies and a familiarity with 
IS0 17799 and COBIT

        •  Knowledge of operating system security (eg UNIX, Windows 2000)
        •  Basic understanding of database and network security

        •  Solid understandings of up-to-date IT audit concepts

        •  Experience of advising clients on the impact of Section 404 of 
the Sarbanes-Oxley act would be desirable


In addition, the following technical skills would be beneficial:

        •  Experience of penetration testing, business process control 
improvement and data analytics

        •  Experience of IT programme management

        •  Familiarity with technologies including XML, C++ and Java

        •  Experience of IT outsourcing, vendor management and IT 
procurement

        •  Knowledge of third party reporting regimes including SAS70
