Position: Security Engineer
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 02/16/2005
Continental Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is a leading regional integrator with
offices in Maryland and Pennsylvania. We have an immediate opportunity at our
Hunt Valley headquarters. This full time salaried position reports to our
Manager of Professional Services and qualifies to participate in our aggressive
training program. A full benefits package that includes 401K is part of the
overall compensation. Duties include:
1) Conducting network security audits for customers.
2) Documenting computer systems based DR procedures.
3) General network review / audit / design
4) Network implementation including installation and configuration of
firewalls, IDS, and load balancing equipment.
This is a hands on job that will exposure a successful candidate to many best
of breed network systems. We are looking for an energetic candidate with an
ability to think on their feet and the ability to understand and integrate
technology with a short learning curve.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skill Set:
- 5 years hands-on integration of network infrastructure
- Experience installing and configuring routing and switching solutions
- Experience in core network security infrastructure design
- Understanding of IP protocol and Internet communication
- Experience with backup and recovery software and procedures
- Firewall installation
- IDS/IPS installation
- O/S level security includinh group policy generation and troubleshooting
- Proven documentation skills (examples required)
- Ability to communicate to all levels of customers
- Previous IT auditing experience a bonus!
Certifications (any or all):
CCNA
CISSP
SANS
Security +
Vendor Specific (Symantec, etc.)
