--------------------------------------------------- SECURITYFOCUS JOBS - NEW OPPORTUNITY --------------------------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------- Position: Security Engineer Location: Mannheim, , DE Type: Permanent F/T Closing Date: 01/28/2005 Northrop Grumman IT is seeking individuals to fill positions as network security engineers supporting the US Army Europe. Engineers will perform design, installation and configuration of all security components supporting the US Army Europe’s Top Level Security Architecture. Engineers will be expected to have a firm understanding of Cisco devices (routing and switching), Intrusion Prevention Devices, Intrusion Detection Systems and a variety of firewall platforms. In addition engineers will provide comprehensive design and support for VPN services such at point-to-point as well as site-to-site. Daily administration of firewalls, and heavy maintenance of extended access control lists (ACL’s) and various network appliances will be expected. Tools to be worked with will be: Distributed Sniffer, TCP Dump, Snort Windump, Nessuss, Nmap etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Individuals should have a Bachelors Degree in a hard science and a minimum of 5 years network operations experience, with a CCNP. A strong functional understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VPN technologies. The ideal candidate must have hands on experience with any of the following firewalls: Checkpoint, Sidewinder, PIX and the candidate must have vendor certified engineer certificates for any of the three firewall platforms. In a addition the candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
