JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Sr. Security Analyst
Location:       Reading, , GB
Type:           Permanent F/T
Closing Date:   01/28/2005

Perform methodical and coordinated application and server product security 
assessments and penetration testing, and produce thorough reports describing 
exploitable vulnerabilities and recommending changes with strong justifications 
for a non-technical audience.
Assist with the design and implementation of internal ethical hacking tools and 
automation of exploit scripts to test Oracle's internal and external IP address 
range.
Perform internal security and risk assessments and design reviews of Oracle 
products, product features and services, providing verbal and written advice 
tailored for the audience.
Work with UK based technical lead and management, product developers, porters, 
operational and IT security, product management and quality/testing personnel 
in all Oracle divisions worldwide to perform these duties. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS

BSc Computer Science or similar required, 
MSc Information Security preferred
2 years minimum preferred
Familiarity and strong interest in computer security required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Familiarity with C programming language required
Knowledge of hacking/cracking methods preferred
Experience of publicly available and proprietary hacker tools and 
vulnerability scanners preferred
Knowledge of web-based technologies (Java, HTML, Apache) preferred
Detailed knowledge of operating systems security, especially Windows, Linux and 
Solaris, network protocols and vulnerabilities preferred
Knowledge of RDBMS, particularly Oracle8i/9i/10g, preferred
Knowledge of system and network administration a major plus
Knowledge of Oracle8i/9i/10g, Oracle Application Server 9iAS/10gAS, Oracle 
Collaboration Suite, Oracle CRM/ERP Applications internals a major plus
Knowledge of security assurance standards (US TCSEC "Orange Book", 
European ITSEC, ISO 15408 "Common Criteria", ISO 17799 
"BS7799") a major plus
Familiarity with Java, PL/SQL, JSQL and XSQL programming languages a plus
Knowledge of multi-level secure concepts a plus
