For more information, visit http://www.websense.com Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Strategic Alliances, the Strategic Alliances Manager is the primary relationship owner and product champion for Websense’s integrated and embedded solutions with its technology partners (such as Blue Coat Systems, Check Point Software, Cisco Systems, Juinper Networks, Microsoft, Network Appliance and others). Key responsibilities include: product management of new/existing integrated and embedded solutions, active partner marketing with alliance partners, business development of new/existing alliance relationships. Essential Functions: - Manages alliance partner relationships including executive-level contacts, new business development, and resolution of field, product development and other day-to-day issues. - Conducts product management and planning of all integrated and embedded partner products throughout their entire lifecycle – from initial inception through general availability. - Develops joint marketing and promotional programs with alliance partners to ensure market success of Websense products. - Manages internal and external, cross-functional teams and resources necessary for successful and timely delivery and marketing of integrated and embedded products and marketing. - Conducts business development of new alliance agreements with technology partners that enable customer-focused solutions and extend Websense’s market and technology leadership. - Evangelizes Websense products both internally and externally. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Qualifications: - Work Experience: 4+ years of product management and/or product development of technology-based products. Preferably with enterprise software, security, or networking products and protocols. - Education: Requires a BS in computer science or other technical field. An MBA from a top tier program a plus. - Ability to understand, communicate and execute corporate objectives internally and externally, handle multiple activities within a deadline, communicate with a wide range of audiences (including customers, technology partners, analysts, etc.), and distinquish between and understand the needs of various stakeholders including customers, field teams, channel partners, and technology partners. - Capable of developing and articulating coherent product and alliance strategies based on complex industry trends, customer needs, and technology partner requirements. - Demonstrable leadership skills and experience. - Experience managing executive level relationships. - Strong negotiating skill and experience initiating and closing technology licensing, OEM, or ISV agreements a plus.
