JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Sr. Security Analyst
Location:       Reading, , GB
Type:           Permanent F/T
Closing Date:   01/28/2005

Provide primary technical liaison on one or more Common Criteria (CC) Security 
Evaluations or FIPS 140 Cryptographic certifications of Oracle products to 
ensure that the third parties who perform the evaluations have an adequate 
understanding of the Oracle product and its design principles. 
Prepare and maintain design and process deliverables for Security Evaluations. 
Liaise worldwide with product developers, product managers, porting groups, and 
technical writers internally, and with security evaluators externally, to 
perform these duties
Maintain and promote Oracle's position in the international evaluation 
community by participating in the review of evaluation scheme documents, 
protection profiles and government directives. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
BA/BSc in Computer Science or similar degree essential 
Familiarity and interest in computer security required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Knowledge of security assurance standards (US TCSEC "Orange Book", 
European ITSEC, ISO 15408 "Common Criteria", ISO 17799 
"BS7799", FIPS 140) preferred
Knowledge of security evaluation methodology preferred
Interest in database security preferred
Familiarity with C, Java, PL/SQL, JSQL and XSQL languages preferred
Knowledge of RDBMS, particularly Oracle9i/10g, preferred
Knowledge of Oracle9i/10g Application Server a major plus
Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and Application Server internals a major plus
Knowledge of Oracle Development or DDR processes and procedures a plus
Quality Assurance and/or Testing background a plus
Knowledge of trusted/multi-level secure operating systems a plus
Knowledge of web-based technologies (Java, HTML, Apache) helpful
Government security clearance helpful, but not required
