Title: Sr. Product Security Engineer
Job Description:
The primary role of the Sr. Product Security Engineer is to provide security
expertise to engineering and evangelize solid security practices in the design
of Juniper Networks products. This position will require a canidate to be an
expert in general network security, vulnerabilties, common network protocols
and customer network configurations. Product Security Engineers perform both
whitebox and blackbox testing, assist marketing and engineering with security
features and respond to potential security vulnerabilities discovered both
internally and externally.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
- - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking/application protocols.
- - Strong C nework programing skills. Canidates must be able to write tools
to illustrate vulnerabilties and perform code audits when necessary.
C++/Java skills are a strong plus. Experiance developing security related
software is a strong plus.
- - Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills are a must.
- - Strong security background, familar with a wide range of security concepts
and best practices including but not limited to:
- Privacy
- Authentication
- Authorization
- Auditing
- non-Repudiation
- Trust models
- - Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks according to
severity.
- - Familar with a wide range of security concepts, protocols and devices such
as firewalls, IDS, VPN's, anti-virus, and PGP.
- - Must be able to leverage your knowledge to test and audit Juniper Networks
products for potential security vulnerabilities.
- - Dependable and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.
- - Must be able to work in a team as well as an individual contributor
without constant supervision.
