Actual title: Technical Director- Pre sales Engineering

Responsible for directing the activities of multiple Security Solutions 
Engineering teams for our client, chartered with providing both first level and 
“deep dive” technical sales support to Solutions Specialists and core 
channel (Globals and Commercial account teams) sales on all solutions products 
under the security product umbrella.

Security Solutions Engineer teams will consist of 2 managers and 24 SE's.  Each 
manager will be responsible for 2 regions (i.e. Northeast and Central Regions 
and   Southeast/West Regions) and have direct supervision over approx. 12 SEs 
each. The managers will report directly to the Technical Director.

- Evaluate and coordinate the ongoing training requirements for all SEs and 
Security Managers within our client's organization to insure all teams have 
proper certification(s) and knowledge to allow them to establish credibility 
with their customers and provide best level of technical support. Determine and 
make recommendations on how best to educate and train field sales and TCs on 
Security products and services·
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to core account teams within our 
clients organization and on all large opportunities. Tech Director will have 
direct involvement in the sales cycle and be accountable for the unit’s 
success in closing large revenue opportunities involving security products and 
services.
- Achieve or exceed assigned unit quota. Manage all SE team to same standards 
of quota achievement.
- Responsible to help define new products for the marketplace, provide detailed 
feedback on marketplace demands (as determined by first-hand interaction at the 
customer C-level) and represent our clients sales teams as a credible and 
valued voice.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
- Significant program/project management experience in the Security Services 
industry 
- Prior experience in direct supervision of personnel
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, and 10 years of job related experience, MBA 
a plus but not required
- CISSP Security certification, PMP Certification
- Other industry certifications (CWSP, GIAC, ISSEP, ISSMP) and vendor 
certifications (Cisco, RSA) are desirable. 
- Possess a high level of skills in security related topics, methodologies, 
industry trends, and core technologies
- Articulate the vision as a provider of next generation services to customers 
and prospects
- Submit on a quarterly basis plans for achieving revenue goals. This will 
require close working relationship with Solutions Sales Directors and core 
channel sales directors/RVPs in targeting existing base for up-sell 
opportunities and involvement in new large (Fortune 1000) opportunities
- Strong program/project management skills experience matrix-managing a project 
team
- Strong negotiating skills to achieve business objectives and drive program 
direction required
- Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills a must, with the ability 
to interface directly with customer on an executive level.  Ability to discuss 
our client's delivery approach
- Able to identify our client's up-sell opportunities and transition to core 
account team
