Position: Security Engineer
Location: Santa Ana, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 01/07/2005
The Security Consultant will primarily work with clients to troubleshoot,
identify, and solve technical problems in their multi-protocol Enterprise
network systems. Usually he/she works as part of a team of INS network
engineers/consultants.
The Security Consultant will design, implement, and service networking
technologies, platforms, and products.
Duties may include:
* Requirements analysis and design
* Component selection, acquisition and installation
* Troubleshooting
* Integration of various equipment and media
* Logical security audits, logical protocol and traffic audits
* Disaster avoidance and recovery planning and implementation
* Penetration Testing
* Design or redesign of network security
* Training of client staff
* Writing and/or assessing security policies
Skills
Communications
* Solid written and oral communication
* Technical writing
* Effective listening
* Presentation development and delivery
Technical Skills
* Security Technology: Firewalls, IDS, IPS, ISS, VPN, PKI
* Network Applications
Experience
* Very strong security background
* Extensive security knowledge (with the ability to design security
architectures)
* Wireless security experience desirable
Education
* Business, computer, or related technical degree from an accredited institution
* CISSP, GIAC certifications preferred
