Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Mannheim, , DE
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 01/07/2005
Title: Senior Network Security Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and administer network security architectures for U.S. military units in
Germany.
Interpret DoD regulatory guidance and ensure networks are secured accordingly.
Apply network security best practices to ensure a secure network operating
environment exists for the organization. Assess security threats concerning the
organization and advise senior staff on proper means of risk mitigation.
Provide TIER 3 network troubleshooting as required using tools such as tcpdump,
windump, and analyzing Syslog events.
Mentor and train junior security administrators on Cisco PIX firewalls, Cisco
router security, and defense-in-depth security strategies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Candidate must have strong Cisco security skills and be proficient in an
enterprise PIX firewall environment. Employee participates in training
exercises and deployments within Germany and other countries as required.
Candidate must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
