The Channel Sales Manager designs, develops and executes revenue-creating joint 
Channel programs in our worldwide multi-tier distribution system. The Channel 
Sales Manager works very closely with our US Direct sales and OEM Sales teams 
as well as with partners to increase sales activity regionally in the channel. 
This role has primary responsibility for joint partner launch activities, sales 
promotions, partner communications, and product marketing in partner channels. 
The position is demanding and the individual must be have high energy capacity 
and be able to multi-task and communicate exceedingly well. Extensive regional 
travel is required. 



Responsibilities

Program Creation: Develop, design, implement and measure channel programs at 
the reseller level regionally. Continuous innovation is required to effectively 
engage partners to focus on our products. 
Program Execution: manage and monitor execution of all channel-marketing 
programs, working closely with partners and the marketing and business 
development teams. 
Program Analysis: evaluate opportunities based on consistency with overall 
business goals and marketing strategy, as well as the financial ROI, brand 
synergy, potential impact/visibility, and execution requirements. Design and 
implement measurements to quantify revenue generated from programs executed in 
the channel. 
Work very closely with Direct sales and marketing teams to develop and execute 
regional marketing programs aimed at growing product line appeal and revenue 
via our channel partners. 
Evaluate and measure current processes, and where necessary, establish more 
efficient and consistent ones. 
Frequent travel (at least 60%) regional. 
Evangelize and champion channel mission, purpose, and needs internally. 
Commission and coordinate channel marketing research to understand customer and 
partner needs. 
Execute partner events, conferences, meetings and meet or exceed monthly quota 
targets. 
Other duties as assigned. 







JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Three to five years direct experience in developing and executing channel 
programs for a high-technology company in multi-tier distribution models. 
Significant international channel sales experience and a proven track record of 
rolling out successful channel programs appropriately customized and targeted 
for various regions. 
A minimum of 6 - 8 years of total channel experience, preferably in the 
software industry, with a focus on the management of integrated channel 
programs. 
Proven track record in leading and working effectively with cross-functional 
teams, including the marketing organization, operations, and finance. 
Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, presentation, and project 
management skills required. 
Excellent budget management skills required. 
Innovator with the ability to influence staff and management at all levels 
(internally and externally). 
Experience/familiarity with Network Security products a plus.
