Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Bay Area, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 12/29/2004
We are currently searching for an exceptional sales engineer. The qualified
candidate will be a strategic member of the west coast sales team. The
qualified candidate will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
Pre sales support of prospects from initiation of contact, through the
evaluation phase and closing of the deal
Help with installations at partner's (resellers/integrators) sites/labs
Post sales support may be necessary from time-to-time.
Some travel required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
A solid systems installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting
background on SAN or NAS (NFS/CIFS) networked storage systems.
Exposure to Active Directory, NIS, LDAP, VPN, firewalls and related policy
management/security products/concepts.
Strong understanding of enterprise systems and related layers/protocols.
5+ years experience as a systems engineer, computer security specialist or IT
professional, preferably with a strong background in storage, security or
networking
Team player, high energy, positive attitude
Preferred Skills
BS in Computer Science or 1-2 years experience with NAS or SAN deployment,
configuration and administration
In-depth technical knowledge of NAS or SAN
Strong knowledge of networking
Excellent troubleshooting skills in heterogeneous environments
Experience that emphasizes security and/or cryptography
Strong communications (written and verbal) and presentation skills
