Position: Director, Information Security

Our client is now seeking a highly commercial individual to join the Senior
Management team as Chief Technology Officer. We have ambitious growth plans and
you must be able “to roll your sleeves up” to ensure these plans are
achieved.
We are seeking a key member of the executive team to drive the UK business
through a significant growth phase.
You will need to understand the customers business and use technical excellence
to identify, design and deliver architectures, strategies and specific
solutions that add value to customers’ businesses and yield profit.
You will have responsibility for both strategic direction and day to day
operation of products and platforms for both internal and external customers.
You will be responsible for ensuring the overall technical integrity of
customer solutions, its conformance to agreed architecture and regulatory
requirements.
Your will need to continuously monitor new technologies assessing their
potential to become new products or services
You will own R&D for the business, leading development and refinement of short
and long-term product architecture developing technology "build or
buy" strategies to support product lifecycles Ensuring each programme
adds value to the company
You will become a role model for technological excellence establishing best
practice initiatives and IT applications as you build and develop your
operations team.
You will be our leading evangelist explaining company our products and future
plans to customers, at conferences, in the press and technology forums.
You will participate in government, academic and industry groups where there
are opportunities to promote the company's reputation and to capture valuable
market data.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

This role demands a strong leader with at least 7 years experience of Senior IT
Management either directly in Financial IT or in a technology services business
supplying the Financial Services sector.
You will need outstanding project management and communication skills, a strong
commercial instinct, accomplished leadership skills and a keen orientation
towards achievement.
You have a track record in delivering successful and profitable solutions, and
bring with you a strong network of senior levels contacts within the industry
You will enjoy working with a small team and be very “hands on”. This
is not a desk job. You will need to lead from the front, be a creative thinker
and responsive to change.
You will be at the forefront of learning in the fields of Storage Area
Networking, data retention, compliance and business continuity solutions.
You will have a strong understanding of Financial IT Operations Front and back
office systems, software solutions and Communications infrastructure..
You will have a broad understanding of legislation impacting Financial Services
and Investment Banking technology operations,
You have excellent and demonstrable experience in leadership, vision and
governance, and can articulate complex solutions easily and understandably, to
our Customers and internal teams
You will be able to motivate and manage with excellent presentation,
communication and public speaking skills as you will be the technical
spokesperson for the company
You have a “can do/ will do” attitude and are looking for your next
challenge
You have gravitas.
