Location:       Chantilly, Virginia, US

The general functions to be performed by the ISSO are:

•  Perform software and hardware configuration vulnerability scans
•  Provide technical support to “the customer”.
•  Provide incident response support as needed
•  Respond to client tasking as directed by the Government manager.
•  Provide assistance and guidance in the development of system and 
network security plans for all client systems and networks.
•  Perform system and network security plan and FISMA compliance testing, 
report non-compliance immediately to the government manager.
•  Manage, perform and monitor the system and network audit log for all 
client systems and networks, report anomalous activities immediately to the 
government manager.
•  Work closely with ISSM in the development, implementation and 
management of client’s system security program.
•  Manage, perform and monitor the removable media access control program 
on all client systems and network.
•  Represent client at information systems security meetings, conferences 
and seminars as directed by the Government manager.

Specific Task:

•  Contractor shall perform all ISSM/ISSO tasks described in the documents 
referenced in the background section above.
•  Contractor shall perform all vulnerability assessment and analysis 
tasks described in the documents referenced in the background section above.
•  Contractor shall conduct vulnerability scans and assessments on all 
client systems and networks as required and or directed by the government 
manager.
•  Contractor shall provide support to all client boards as determined by 
the government manager.  This includes, but is not limited to, RFCs, 
configuration, engineering boards, and other documentation.
•  Contractor shall attend external meetings, conferences, technical 
exchanges and working sessions as required and/or directed by the government.
•  Contractor shall develop and maintain documentation that may be 
required to fulfill client’s vulnerability scanning, ISSM and ISSO 
functions.  This includes technical documentation, project summaries, status 
reports, briefings, correspondence and other documentation as required.
•  Contractor shall stay abreast of security related topics, technology 
and best practices as they relate to this SOW.
•  Contractor shall develop, plan, implement and manage client’s 
information systems security program as directed by the government manager.
•  Contractor shall develop, plan, implement and manage client’s 
security plan compliance and review activities as directed by the government 
manager.
•  Contractor shall oversee and report on security plan compliance issues, 
or lack thereof, on all client’s information stores, systems and networks.
•  Contractor shall manage and implement system and network audit log 
reviews in accordance with directives and system security plans, providing 
summary reports of finding to the government manager.
•  Contractor shall respond to security incidences.

•  Intrusion Detection Systems
•  Security program development, planning, and  implementation
•  Domino and Windows operating systems
•  Certification and  accreditation
•  AIS security requirements and strategies
•  Vulnerability Assessments and security risk mitigation
•  Design and development of report capabilities and formats
•  Design, development, and maintenance of Intruvert IDS systems
•  Handling rapidly changing environments with minimal direct supervision.
