Position: Security Engineer
Location: San Jose, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T

intersection of Hwy 101 and Hwy 85. We are hiring a Sr. Network Security
Engineer.
The successful Candidate will architect, implement and maintain enterprise
security infrastructure. Must have strong network security, architecture,
planning, risk analysis, policies, procedures and general overall security
experience. In addition, experience with telecommunication, standard security
management practices, application and systems development security,
cryptography and day to day operations security a must. Also, the candidate
will regularly communicate with Senior Management and mentor junior system
administrators and conduct audits with recurring frequency.

Firewalls (checkpoint, netscreen)
Antivirus systems (McAfee Webshield, VirusScan, Symantec, Scanmail,TrendMircro)
Intrusion detection (ISS, Snort, Enterasys, NetRanger)
Host intrusion detection (ISS RealSecure)
Content filtering systems (Websense, SurfControlSuperScout)
MS SQL database security
Secure FTP (SSH)
Operating system functions (Sun/Solaris, Unix, Linux, MS NT/2000, Cisco IOS)
Authentication systems (RSA SecurID, Radius, Kerberos, PassGOdefender)
Directories (iPlanet, MS active directory)
Vulnerability tools (ISS Internet scanner, ISS host scanner, Nessus, Cybercop)
Enterprise switching technologies
Must have at least 8 years total IT hands on experience, strong Unix and MS OS
experience is a must, Redhat Linux a plus. Position requires a Bachelors of
Science Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5+ years of Enterprise information security experience with
strong, practical understanding of the security models used in enterprise
environments.
