Role: Own and manage both proactive and reactive processes design to improve the security of Zone Labs products and services. Responsibilities: • Implement, manage, and drive improvements to the Zone Labs Security Vulnerability Response process • Track all known security issues in Zone Labs products and drive corrective action and/or improvements • Drive development process improvements that will result in more secure products and features • Act as an internal security consultant to development and product management during product and feature design and selection processes • Track third party software or technology used to develop Zone Labs products or services that could impact the security of Zone Labs products (e.g. vulnerabilities in purchased libraries, open source applications bundled, etc.) • Manage relationships between Zone Labs and security vulnerability research and tracking organizations such as CERT, OSVDB, CVE, Bugtraq, etc. • Perform vulnerability testing against Zone Labs products • Support sales, marketing, professional services, and technical support with regard to enquiries from customers, prospects, and the media about potential product vulnerability issues Success Measurements: • Mean time to resolve for publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities • Number of open security vulnerabilities per product JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Requirements • BS in Computer Science or equivalent • 5 years working for a security product or services company • 1 year experience managing security vulnerability response or equivalent experience • Strong IP networking knowledge • Security knowledge especially related to network security, malware, and web applications.
