Our client is looking for a Director of Web Marketing

Creates strategic competitive advantage by developing and deploying an 
effective corporate Web Marketing Strategy. Responsible for understanding 
critical business strategies and processes, and go-to-market plans across all 
market segments (consumer, SMB and enterprise) and product segments. Uses best 
practices methodology to develop, create and maintain the strategic plan. 

This is primarily a non-technical position that requires extensive business 
process knowledge of market segmentation and the associated enterprise and 
consumer product delivery models. 

Works in consensus to develop enterprise wide vision, strategy and plans for 
Web Marketing. Utilizes the latest research in eDistribution, ePartner Support, 
eVestor Relations, eCRM, eMarketing and eCorporate Knowledge to develop a 
comprehensive set of Internet-based services addressing internal and external 
constituencies:
1. B2E Business to employee
2. B2C business to customer (Consumer)
3. B2B Business to Business (Enterprise customers, vendors and suppliers)

Manages and leads the Web Marketing Strategic Planning function via consensus 
management across multiple constituents and their requirements relying upon 
each participating organizations expertise to help craft appropriate solutions 
for the corporation and its partners/customers. . This includes Sales, 
Marketing, Customer Support, Product Development, Partner Management, etc.

Performs research, conducts evaluation studies, and develops, executes and 
maintains strategies, recommendations and implementation plans.

Educates executive management of the role and value of eBusiness to provide 
leadership in the development and execution of the Web Marketing strategies and 
address such key issues as:
1. What is eBusiness/eCommerce strategy?
2. What principles guide the strategy?
3. How do we leverage the web to increase revenue and improve customer 
satisfaction?
4. How do we develop the eBusiness/eCommerce strategy?
5. How do we develop requirements to support the strategy?

Provides leadership to turn a coordinated vision and strategy in to strategic 
and operational plans, via enthusiastic communication of a strong business 
vision, translation of that vision to a clear, progressive implementation 
strategy, and cooperatively drive that strategy with clarity of purpose across 
multiple organizations
1. Establish sponsorship for Web Marketing Strategy Initiative
a) Develop future business and Information Technology requirements 
b) Customer, partner and internal requirements
c) Economic justifications of requirements 
2. Develop Web Marketing strategic plan
a) Statement of Web Marketing strategic goals 
b) Objectives that will accomplish goals
c) Business case with costs and benefits to justify the plan
3. Develop Strategic and Tactical Roadmaps to achieve objectives
4. Schedule coordinated projects to accomplish roadmap
Work with the Web Development team and IT to the implement a progressive, 
integrated Web Marketing architecture and infrastructure that supports the Web 
Marketing Strategy, within an established high growth/high tech environment 
supporting key objectives.
 



JOB REQUIREMENTS

* MBA, focused on Business Strategic Planning  
  and/ or eBusiness Strategy - preferred - BA, 
  Business or Marketing
* 5-7 years of comprehensive Web Marketing 
  Strategy for a medium to large scale high tech
  products and services company
* 5-10 years experience in go-to-market planning 
  for SMB consumer and enterprise markets
* 2-5 years Senior management experience
* 2-5 years, business/corporate level strategic
  planning
* Experience with corporate-wide strategy
  development that reached across multiple
  business units in a non-technical discipline
  as opposed to product, division or technical  
  strategy development would be highly valued. 

  The appropriate candidate will rely on   existing technical expertise within 
the organization and understand how to leverage recommendations and 
infrastructure to strategize an effective eBusiness solution for the corporation
