Position: Security System Administrator
Location: Denver, Colorado, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 11/21/2004
Denver International Airport’s Telecommunication’s Section is seeking
a Senior IT Systems Administrator (Network Security) to maintain, implement and
modify networked information systems with an emphasis on security operations.
The responsibilities of this position will vary from designing, developing and
testing network architecture schemes, development and implementation of network
security policies and “best practices”, independent analysis of
various server and LAN/WAN connection configurations, firewall administration,
security audits, real-time electronic monitoring of network activities,
intrusion detection, network troubleshooting and other IT support. The desired
individual will have a progressive background in network security in a
multi-application/operating system (Windows2000, Linux and Unix) and
multi-tenant environment. In addition, experience in firewall administration,
protocol analyzer and security audit and intrusion detection, Cisco
SIM, VMS ACS , and VPN concentrator, Network Associates Sniffer products
(Portable LAN and Wireless Sniffer) all in a large campus LAN/WAN/WLAN
environment. Preferred Certifications include CISSP or SANS GIAC.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements to qualify for this position are a Baccalaureate Degree in
Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration,
Mathematics or a related field and three years of professional information
technology experience maintaining, implementing and modifying networked
information technology systems including system hardware and software for
routers, switches, hubs, servers and desktops and two years experience with
full time network security operations.
Additional experience in performing professional level information technology
experience maintaining, implementing and modifying networked information may be
substituted for the minimum education experience on a one-year for one-year
basis. There is no substitution for the three years experience required.
