Position: Security Consultant
Location: Parsippany, New Jersey, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 12/18/2004
Maintain and upgrade Checkpoint firewall infrastructure for Fortune 100
Financial Services firm
Work experience requirements:
Administration and task automation through scripting.Configuration,
maintenance, and troubleshooting of Checkpoint Firewall-1/VPN-1.
Network security intrusion detection/response and network audits.Configuration,
maintenance, troubleshooting of Cisco Routers and Switches a must.
Desired qualifications:
Checkpoint CCSA qualification
Excellent teamwork skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A proven track record of evaluating customer needs and responding in a
multi-customer environment.Ability to learn and quickly apply new knowledge.
5+ years of experience in Firewall and Security Architecture for Financial
Services Firm
5+ years of experience in network architecture and analysis.
Certifications are pluses CCSE CISSP CCSA
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must also have an in-depth knowledge (configuration, troubleshooting and
support) of
IP Networking & WAN configuration
NAT design and troubleshooting
Cisco Routers/Switches
Cisco ACL's
OSPF
BGP
UNIX systems - e.g. Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD
Nokia Firewalls
Proxies
Ideally candidates will have worked previously in large organizations or
investment banking, and understand the restrictions of working within an
environment requiring 100% uptime during business hours.
Duties will include providing technical advice to the business, preparing
configurations and policy changes, system administration, network and security
device installation and support. Rostered on-call evening and weekend work may
be required.
Check Point experience should include ratings for
Firewall-1/VPN-1 4.1
Firewall-1 NG
VPN-1 NG
Check Point software installation
Check Point troubleshooting
Check Point management server configuration and support
