Field Engineer

Location: Northeast and Atlanta
Responsibilities
CipherTrust is seeking a Field Engineer who will be a key member of a growing
company that creates email security appliances.
The Field Engineer will perform the hands-on installation of the company’s
products at customer premises and then train customers on their use and
administration. Deep technical knowledge as well as strong interpersonal and
training skills are imperative to be effective.
The Field Engineer will acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of
CipherTrust’s products and their application.
§ Travel to customer premises and install CipherTrust equipment
§ Integrate CipherTrust equipment and software into customer
environments, troubleshoot firewall and mail server problems that prevent
effective utilization of the CipherTrust appliance
§ Loading/testing appliances for delivery to customer
§ Work with Support organization to diagnose appliance hardware problems
§ Work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Regional Sales Engineers
to insure customer satisfaction
§ Train customers on the use and administration of CipherTrust equipment
Requirements
§ 2 years+ experience in information technology
§ Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
§ Ability to effectively explain complicated technical information to
laymen
§ Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
§ MCSE certification (Windows 2000) a plus Work experience with the
following technologies:
o Firewalls
o Microsoft NT domain administration
o Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes
o DNS
o WAN, VPN
o PC/Server hardware configuration
o Unix system administration (BSD preferred)
