Position: Security Researcher
Location: Silicon Valley, California, US
Type: Permanent F/T

Our client is an industry-leading provider of high-end networking and network
security products, and they have retained Venture Staffing to manage a large
staffing project for one of their engineering teams.
SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - SECURITY RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
You will be a senior member of our client's security team. Primarily
responsibilities will center around researching identified and documented
vulnerabilities in networked applications and writing code and/or signatures to
detect attempts to exploit them and writing protocol decoders for documented
and undocumented network protocols.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
- Strong C and x86 assembly skills.
- Broad/deep understanding of the Win32 stack including APIs, network layers,
and the areas where the system, nw and filesystem interact.
- Solid understanding of code security, common vulnerabilities and mechanisms
for exploiting them, etc.
- Ability to hack and reverse engineer code, including working with
disassembler.
- Exposure to Unix/Linux APIs and systems layers a plus.
- Current and active participation in security R&D community a plus.
