Position: Security Consultant
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 11/21/2004
Sr. IS Security Subject Matter Expert
Looking for a person with deep information security background and expertise to
build business case justification, security specifications, create metrics,
strategy, approach in implementing key Information Security Initiatives across
the enterprise.
The following describes the scope and magnitude of these initiatives
The mission of the enterprise Information Security Initiatives is to provide
leadership to all UHG segments in strategy, approach, business value, minimum
compliance, planning, implementation, education, and control within the
framework of the federal security regulation and sound business practices. All
Program work is guided by the interrelationship of the principles of
confidentiality, integrity and availability.
The Information Security Initiatives include the following:
Ø Partner with segments, lead strategy, approach and implementation.
o Identity Management
o Application Security
o Intrusion Detection and Incident Response
o Vulnerability Management
o Asset and Data Classification
o Security Organization
o Security Policy, Procedures and Standards
o Security Awareness Training
o Security Compliance Program
o SLA / Business Associate Agreements
o Business Continuity / DR
Ø Work with segments to determine business case and value of each
Security initiative
Ø Mapping Security Projects to HIPAA to target at least minimum
compliance
Ø Program Management of HIPAA projects across UHG
Ø Creation of Minimum Compliance Control Requirements for HIPAA
Ø Develop and manage reporting metrics to demonstrate value
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
·Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree
preferred.
·10 or more years solid diverse experience in all aspects of security
systems
·High level knowledge of security policy
·Strong problem analysis skills and techniques.
·Effective consulting skills.
·Deep knowledge with HIPAA Information Security regulations and proven
implementation experience
·Knowledge of Industry standard information security practices
(ISO17799)
·Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley General Computer Controls
·Strong project management skills - preferred PMP
·Experience with business case development
·Skilled with technical writing
·Ability to translate business requirements in to clear, concise
actionalble specifications
·Experience in development of information security metrics
