Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, US
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 11/21/2004
Application Security SME
This position is involved in the design, development, engineering,
specification and communication of the firm's application security plan and the
infrastructure components required to support it.
·Consult on the development of tactical security plans and directions to
assure the integration of security best practices in application development
and operational activities.
·Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems
for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or
privileged corporate computerized data.
·Work with Business Segments to conduct security assessments of internal
business units and external business partners regarding application security.
·Provide leadership in cross-functional business and IS teams.
·Participate in software development lifecycle by providing proactive
security requirements and guidelines to add security to programs under
development.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
·Relevant Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
·6 or more years of experience.
·Proven ability to document use cases, system requirements and technical
requirements for Application Security.
·Extensive knowledge of application security, for example Java/J2EE
Security (JAAS, JCE), Microsoft .Net application security, CORBA security, MQ
Series Security, RACF.
·In depth experience with software development methodologies for
example, Rational Unified Process, Agile, XP
·Demonstrated expertise on application security threat modeling,
countermeasure development, and business risk assessment
·Knowledge of enterprise security services to include firewalls, IDS,
vulnerability assessment, and authentication.
·Project leadership experience desired.
·Ability to understand and have insight into the big picture, as it
relates it to the current state.
·Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
·Excellent consultative, communication and Management skills.
·Strong analytical and design ability.
·Demonstrated ability to develop Application Security program and train
development community on security policy.
