The company is a rapidly growing, enterprise security software company in 
northern San Diego and is looking for a driven, dynamic and self-motivated 
marketing manager to continue to fuel its rapid growth.  This person will be 
responsible creating and executing marketing programs and driving lead 
generation activities, and will work closely with the inside and outside sales 
teams to directly impact revenue generation.  

The ideal candidate is a marketing superstar in the making - someone looking to 
move up quickly in a fast paced company.  They have experience with all types 
of lead generation programs - from direct email marketing to direct marketing, 
to event and conference coordination and search engine optimization.  The ideal 
candidate has helped to grow one or more other B2B technology companies, and is 
comfortable with a dynamic, sometimes hectic, multi-task environment, and 
covets the satisfaction that comes with sales success.  

Responsibilities
•  Manage the sales pipeline - turn lists into leads.  Measure and manage 
SFA and email databases
•  Plan and manage the execution of direct marketing campaigns, including 
email and direct mail
•  Direct events coordination, including company-sponsored seminars, 
webcasts, and conferences and tradeshows
•  Create campaign concepts, write copy and help design direct marketing 
materials, marketing collateral and sales tools
•  Research and develop an understanding of the marketing requirements for 
products and product lines, including target audience and competitive 
documentation issues
•  Track and report on metrics and costs for all campaigns, over time
•  Work with insides sales to create multi-touch strategies, including 
inside sales scripts and call back processes
•  Responsible for ensuring area marketing budget and joint marketing 
funds produce the most effective strategic impact and drive revenue generation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills
MUST HAVE (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS):
•  Three (3) or more years of outbound marketing & lead generation 
experience for a B2B technology company
•  Two (2) or more years experience marketing to C-Level executives at 
Fortune 1000 companies
•  Two (2) or more years managing an insides sales team (directly or 
indirectly) 
•  Verifiable experience in tracking marketing metrics and managing lead 
databases
•  Excellent writing skills, editing skills, and command of spelling, 
grammar and syntax rules - must be able to write compelling headlines and copy.

Preferred Skills
•  SHOULD HAVE information security product experience, experience working 
with enterprise software products
•  Very good knowledge and understanding of entire communications process, 
including graphics and production as well as database management and inside 
sales / telemarketing
•  Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and time 
management skills.
•  Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
•  BA / BS in Marketing or Communications or similar
