Position: Jr. Security Analyst
Type: Permanent F/T

Security Analyst
Job Description:
Evaluate the type and severity of security events by making use of packet
analyses, and an in-depth understanding of exploits and vulnerabilities.
Resolve customer issues by taking the appropriate corrective action, or
following the appropriate escalation procedure
Monitor the health and wellness of security devices on our client’s
networks
Key Responsibilities:
The SOC Analysts position is on the front line of internet security. Analyst
use several security devises to provide round the clock intrusion prevention
for our client’s networks. A good knowledge of exploits and
vulnerabilities with ability to work under general supervision on real time
internet and network security events. May be able to operate on several
computer platforms and environments. Good communication, interpersonal, and
organizational skills. Great PC skills. Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
Linux, TCP/IP, UNIX, NT, IP Routing
Knowledge of IP Tables
Understanding of basic network services, vulnerabilities and attacks, as well
as ways to mitigate vulnerabilities
Customer Service background and good written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and great organizational skills Nice to have knowledge and
Skills Nessus, Cisco Pix, Checkpoint FW1, GIAC Certifications
