Position: Account Manager

Avanton is currently hiring hunters (not just account managers), entrepreneurs,
and sales eagles in the area of Channel Development / Business Development. We
are looking for other successful people to help grow the organization, and
realize the results.
Avanton, Inc. is a provider of Integrated Security Appliances for the SMB
space. Based in both Manhattan Beach, CA and Raleigh, NC, the company
specializes in Information Security for small to medium business. Our
full-service approach is to provide a “plug and play” appliance that
integrates open source solutions for Intrusion Detection, Vulnerability
Assessment, Network Monitoring, etc. We have also added correlation for IDS
events to vulnerabilities, and reporting for specific regulatory compliances of
GLBA, HIPAA, SOX and SB1386.

Our business development strategy is to target small to medium businesses
through an indirect channel strategy. The target industries are Financial,
Healthcare, and municipalities.
We are a relatively new startup, but unlike other startups - our product is
complete, partners are signing up, and we are achieving revenues. This
position will start out as a commission only position, and will become a
position with a generous base salary with commissions as we achieve a
consistent revenue stream and funding. At that time a compensation of base
salary, commissions, and stock options will add up to excellent earnings
potential! We are also offering a comprehensive benefits package.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should have 3+ years successful track record of Channel Development
/ Business Development in the area of information security solutions, IT
consulting, or advanced network products/services. This search is for
positions nationwide. The right individual will have strong prospecting,
solution-oriented sales, and closing skills.
