Personnel must be able to formulate alternatives, policies, and procedures to the existing security architecture, based on security industry best practices and without disrupting the established government/client environment. Approximately 5-7 years of network security experience with working knowledge of current technologies and products is required. Personnel will need to possess a functional understanding of theoretical network security architecture development and implementation, or in-depth experience in an operational network security environment, and be versed in network technologies, topologies, analysis, engineering and forecasting strategies. Personnel should be seasoned in establishing security policies, plans, and architectures. Extensive knowledge and background in network security will be required to understand and produce intricate security relationships and make security architecture recommendations that will improve current security structure. A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. Other security certifications are a plus. Four years of additional experience in the functional area may be substituted for the degree. Applicants must be US Citizens, have a current security clearance or be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
