Position: Security Consultant
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 11/13/2004
We are currently seeking a Senior Security Consultant to participate in
multiple client engagement teams and other related activities. In addition to
New York, consultants can be located in NJ, CT, MA, Chicago and San Francisco.
This professional will serve as a fieldwork leader to assist teams in the
assessment of complete IT risk reduction approach addressing such areas as
Intrusion and Virus Detection, Incidence Response, Privacy, Identify
Management, Asset Management, Physical Security, Policies, Standards and
Guidelines. The successful candidate will work with client to analyze and
enhance information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies
and minimize risk improving security at both a procedural and technology level.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement
and develop work programs, timelines, risk assessments, architectures, and
other planning documents. Work with the team to document the business processes
dependent on information technology. Ensure high quality in client service by
directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement
status, and managing staff performance.
Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems.
Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify
the engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to
the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and
verbal presentations.
Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and
responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and
tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
Salary range: $60k - $85k
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Engineering, and/or other appropriate academic major.
2 to 5 years of experience in the use of tools and techniques for several of
the following:
Intrusion and virus detection, developing effective incidence response programs,
Addressing complex privacy issues, developing security policy management
programs.
-Experience in information technology strategy planning, information security
program and administration, security architecture design and technology
assessment.
-Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent leadership and teaming skills.
-Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
Candidates must hold or be actively pursuing related professional
certifications such as CISSP.
Ability to travel.
