Position: Security Engineer
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 10/20/2004
Oversee the real-time monitoring and remote administration and management of
intrusion detection, other security devices, and non-security devices deployed
throughout the enterprise.
Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems
assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or
destruction. Interfaces with the user community to understand their security
needs and implements procedures to provide support. Ensures that the user
community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
Conducts evaluation of the level of security provided. Conduct required
security audits and certifications. Assists in the development of policy and
accreditation roadmaps. Advises on compliance with federal security directives
JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for an individual with experience as an information security
engineer with the following is requirements:
1. Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocol family and OSI layers.
2. Significant experience (4 years of verifiable hands on experience) with
any 2 of the following:
a. ISS RealSecure IDS
b. Enterasys Dragon IDS
c. Symantec Manhunt IDS
d. SourceFire/Snort IDS
e. netForensics
f. Cisco PIX Firewalls
g. Checkpoint Firewalls
h. Perl/shell scripting
i. Linux/Solaris operating system
3. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information
Systems, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience related discipline
4. There are no certifications required for this position but the
following are desirable:
a. CISSP
b. CCNP
c. CCDP
d. CSSP
e. CCNA
f. GIAC
g. GSEC
5. This position will require the incumbent to hold a SECRET collateral
clearance. This is mandatory for employment. The incumbent will be able work
at SecureInfo pending clearance approval. If the clearance is denied, we will
not be able to permit him/her to continue with the SecureInfo team. This
position will be required to be on call on a rotating schedule.
