Position: Security System Administrator
Type: Contract

threat intelligence data and analysis, Secure Elements provides administrators
with optimal security control and visibility across the enterprise. Secure

The Secure Elements Remediation Team (SERT) Engineer will be responsible for
creation and maintenance of remediations for the Secure Elements C5 AVR
product. The SERT team maintains a database of existing vulnerabilities,
vulnerable technologies, and remediations for those vulnerabilities. Secure
Elements C5 AVR product software in the field downloads this information,
allowing customers to automatically remediate vulnerabilities associated with
assets on their networks. The SERT Engineer will use an in-house application
to transform new and existing threat intel into Secure Elements remediation
signatures for download to customers’ sites.
Remediations are specific to Operating Systems and Applications and can be one
of the following:
--A vendor or supplied patch that is dispatched and installed on a
vulnerable
asset.
--A set of configuration steps, such as killing a process or editing a
configuration
file, developed using Secure Elements mobile agent technology and dispatched
to a vulnerable asset.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities
• Monitoring and responding to new vulnerabilities identified by intel
feeds
• Creation of new remediations, both patch and configuration based, using
custom application software
• Documenting remediations with descriptive, insightful prose
• Testing of remediations to verify that they work to resolve
vulnerabilities as described by the software manufacturer
• Providing feedback to enhance the software tools used to perform the
job.
Requirements
• Proficiency in administration of Windows and/or Unix/Linux desktops and
servers in medium and enterprise environments (or equivalent)
• Experience as a network or security administrator
Other Skills (desired)
• CISSP
• Hands on experience with VA tools
• Experience with exploits, monitoring CERT, bugtraq, etc
Educational/Experience Requirements
• Related job title as Security Admin
