Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Type: Permanent F/T

Job description:
Join a highly successful Financial Services organization that continues to grow
and add staff. You will work very closely with the Director of Information
Security on a wide range of projects including a strong initial focus on Apache
Webserver administration and security and web application security as well as a
major upgrade to HIDS and NIDS and development and distribution of enterprise
security policies, procedures and standards. In essence, your responsibilities
will include most areas of information security ranging from network and server
security to applications security, web security, performing vulnerability
assessments, intrusion detection, and security audits. This is an excellent
opportunity for someone who wants to touch on all aspects of information
security across the enterprise.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements:
At least three years full time information security experience with a solid
technical foundation in security tools and technologies within a UNIX
environment including network, server, web server and applications security.
Mandatory skills and experience include experience in Apache webserver system
administration or security on UNIX platform, experience in web application
security (Could have experience doing web application development, web security
administration, or web vulnerability assessments). Ideally this would be done
with applications written in Perl (cgi scripts). Also experience in UNIX system
administration or security, experience in enterprise patch management, general
exposure to networking and/or network security, documentation experience
(either writing technical documentation or having written security policies,
procedures, standards and guidelines). Highly desired background would include
experience in HP-UX system administration or security, experience wi
th Snort intrusion detection sensors, experience monitoring servers for
compliance with security standards, experience implementing and maintaining
file integrity checking, experience administering or configuring OpenSSH,
experience implementing intrusion detection systems (either host-based or
network-based), experience with Cisco router and switch security, experience
with vulnerability scanning using Nessus or similar software, experience with
Secure Computing Sidewinder firewalls, experience conducting security
penetration testing activities, experience either conducting or assisting in
internal audits or security audits. A CISSP certification would also be
preferred. It is also very important to have good customer skills. Part of your
time will be spent interacting with customers whose systems interface with this
company's systems.
