Fraud Analyst-– Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA --

Southeast financial services firm seeks Analyst to:
* Develop authorization fraud detection rules and strategies for consumer 
credit, ATM/debit, small and large business, pre-paid and government card 
products.
* Recommend changes to the point of sale referral and decline policies for 
fraud. 
* Perform analysis of fraud losses to identify changes in fraud behavior and 
opportunities to reduce losses.  
* Support analytical needs for Fraud Operations. 
* Work with the forecasters to improve forecast accuracy
* Must be able to move from proactive problem identification to root cause 
analysis to change implementation to measurement and monitor results.
* Work with business partners to implement changes that can better detect 
and/or deter future fraud.  
* Work with vendors to optimize use of fraud detection tools.

Salary $60-80k.




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
*Expert level skills with SAS, Access, SQL, and Excel.
*Strong analytical skills including data mining, regression analysis, and 
statistical decision trees.
*Masters or Bachelors degree in an analytical field (statistics, math, 
operations research, engineering, etc.).
*1-3 years experience in an analytical environment.
*Ability to interact with senior staff.
