Regional Sales Manager, Great Lakes Region 

Position Responsibilities:

The Regional Manager will serve as the territory executive responsible for all 
revenue generation in the Michigan, Ohio and Ontario territory. 
Responsibilities include:
• Selling the ArcSight security product through both direct and indirect 
sales channels 
• Calling on Fortune 500 end-users directly, and selling into the Fortune 
1000 mid -market with channel partners 
• Prospecting, qualifying and closing direct accounts 
• Identifying, and partnering with, top security integrators in the great 
lakes area.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual whose background 
demonstrates considerable success in building a sales pipeline and closing 
enterprise deals with Fortune 500 companies.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------

Required Experience:

The qualified candidate has 5+ years of successful outside sales experience 
with an emerging technology company selling security products, services, and 
solutions:
• Solid understanding of internet and networking technologies and network 
security products and services
• Significant experience with direct end-user account management
• Consistent over-quota performance in a large volume sales environment
• Exceptional skills in prospecting and qualifying potential accounts
• Considerable success in building and maintaining a sales pipeline
• Ability to create, develop, and close solution sales
• Ability to develop business and revenue in a territory, prospecting both 
by telephone and in person cold-calling
• Experience maintaining a high number of active sales opportunities being 
worked to closure simultaneously
• Demonstrated success in cultivating Fortune 500 accounts along with 
working with regional partners to drive business into mid-market accounts
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully from an independent remote 
office, either a home office or executive suite.

Desired Experience:
• The ideal candidate will have most recently demonstrated 3+ years of 
successful (verified over achievement) direct field sales for another 
mainstream network security vendor in the region 
• The candidate has spent the last 2+ years focused on selling into the 
security or networking market

Minimum Required Education:
• A BS or better, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent 
experience.

Location:
• Michigan or Ohio
