Position: Jr. Security Analyst
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 09/24/2004
SOC Analyst
The SOC Analyst position provides the front line support for SecureWorks
network security. Analysts use several security devices to provide 24/7/365
comprehensive intrusion prevention for our clients’ networks.
Analysts’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Analyzing the type and severity of security alerts by making
use of packet analysis, and by having an in depth understanding of exploits and
vulnerabilities.
· Resolving client issues by following the proper escalation
procedure, or by taking the appropriate corrective action.
· Monitoring the health and wellness of security devices on
clients’ networks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Required Skills:
· Linux, UNIX, TCP/IP, IP routing, NT
· Knowledge of IP tables
· General understanding of network services, network
vulnerabilities and attack exploits
· Customer service background with excellent written and verbal
communication skills
· Nessus, Cisco Pix, Checkpoint FW-1, GIAC certifications
preferred.
