Position:       Security Consultant
Type:           Contract

This vacancy is for a security consultant with penetration testing and computer 
forensics skills to join our client's Techical Security Group.

The Group provides Penetration Testing and Forensic services to a wide range of 
internal and external customers and we are looking for an individual to join 
this team of technical security consultants to support both the Penetration 
Testing and Forensics/Incident Handling service offerings.

The Group is successful and expanding, with its services being in high demand 
both within the organisation and with a growing range of external customers.
The group covers all areas of information security and we are undertaking this 
recruitment exercise to meet growing demand for their services.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
The following experience is required:
- detailed understanding of, and experience in, IT security 
- detailed understanding of penetration testing and significant hands-on 
experience 
- detailed understanding of network and internet security.  This should include 
a low-level knowledge of network traffic and protocols 
- detailed Windows/Unix operating system knowledge 
- technical understanding of security products such as firewalls, IDS, and 
security aspects of products such as operating systems 
- appreciation of trends in IT security.

Experience in computer forensics is also desirable.

It is likely (although not a pre-requisite) that the successful candidate will 
have been employed within a CHECK Provider organisation within the UK and will 
therefore have the abilities to be approved by CESG to join our client's CHECK 
team.
