This is the only option I am aware of, and it is expensive. A company called Prolexic was formed as a result of the actions of its founder in combatting a DDoS attack for a customer who was an online betting firm. The story about the original incident originally appeared on CSO magazine and is available at Prolexic's website: http://www.prolexic.com/news/20050501-csomagazine.php It is an amazing read and shows the ingenuity of the founder. Note that Prolexic has been purchased by IPVG.
