If you don't mind working with VBScript the Microsoft Scripting Center (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/default.mspx) has some great example code out there.
Info on working with services can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/scripts/default.mspx?mfr=true
They have templates for running the scripts on multiple remote systems at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/scripts/templates/default.mspx?mfr=true
You can do all the same stuff with languages that support WMI, including Javascript, Python and Perl, though I have mainly used, and had more success with VBScript.
Hope this helps
Hello to all:
Am not into script writing yet. Can anyone recommend or know where I could find/get a script that disables windows unnecessary services for example?
Thank you
Emer
