Thank you for all the input. The job was done today. I just imported the data into excel and wrote some functions to extract the data needed using simple Text manipulation functions like "left()" and "right()" As for the microsft log analyzer, it looks good. But it will not parse through only one detail of an event (ie. discription) and seperate it into seperate colums. At least from my understanding it didn't. Thanks all. Adam
